This summer, Fillandises had the honor of participating in the International Lingerie Show, the Curve New York, which was held from July 28 to 30 at the Javits Center in Manhattan. New York, one of the fashion capitals: what a great city to present your collections! Fillandises was therefore able to present its universe on its stand, in an attempt to win over New Yorkers!
Curve New York, the meeting place for lingerie and swimwear
The Curve New York show is dedicated to the worlds of lingerie and swimwear. The goal is to present new brands, to facilitate exchanges between brands and between creators and buyers, all in a family and intimate atmosphere. Conferences, workshops and fashion shows of lingerie and swimwear punctuated these few days of the show. This year, for the 4th edition, no less than 315 brands participated in the show, including 23 French brands. Fillandises is proud to have been part of this selection!
Fillandises conquers America
Among the many lingerie brands present at the show, Fillandises therefore made its way to stand 343. This was an opportunity to introduce across the Atlantic to our romantic and delicate collections, for young girls and women. We are proud to have been able to present our products, our brand and our concept to the American press! Fillandises received a warm and enthusiastic welcome: we hope this will lead to great projects to come!
New York, a fashion capital
New York is one of the major cities in the world of fashion. Just like Paris, London and Milan, it presents its “fashion week” every year but also other major events, such as this Curve New York show for lingerie professionals. New York has prestigious fashion schools like the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) or the Parsons School, which see the designers of tomorrow emerge. Many international brands have stores and offices in New York. New York is famous for its special shopping avenues and department stores, such as Macy's, 5th Avenue, the Brooklyn Flea Market, Madison Avenue and the SoHo district. It's a city that lives at 100 an hour, where the horns resound, where everyone hails their taxi and where large bright posters are on every street corner. Everyone has their own style in New York, and trends vary from neighborhood to neighborhood. Visiting this bubbling “big apple” is very inspiring!
